I’m a 24-year-old man, beaten down a bit by the economy, and using writing as a way to pass the time while waiting for things to pick up (not that traditional work has ever made sense for me) . I’ve always enjoyed writing and, in middle and high school, english class was the highlight of my day, so writing seemed like a natural thing for me to do. I love to be part of an active, thriving internet community, which I hope to turn this into, someday.
I decided, during the planning stages, that my posts generally would not go over 350 words, and only exceedingly rarely go over 500. This is because, from my personal experience on the receiving end of walls of text, long posts just bore or intimidate the reader, and that’s not a good thing for anyone, hence the self-imposed word limit. This is steadily sliding out the window, though I don’t think I’ll go over 500 more than twice a month.
1. Unless your site has something to do with writing, or you’re adding something to the discussion, if you link to a site in your first comment, I’m going to assume you’re a spammer, and delete your comment.
2. Inflammatory comments will be deleted without warning. Multiple offenses will result in a ban.
3. All first time commentators have to wait in a queue for administrator approval. If your comment doesn’t come up in an hour, I’m probably asleep. Please be patient. Spamming the comments section is liable to get all your pending comments deleted.
4. Do not provide links in your comments, unless said links are relevent to the discussion. Use the URL field for any sites you wish to link to.
